Vehicle Display Software Engineer Job in Chicago West, Illinois US
Job Description
Case Holland, a world leader in the design, development and manufacturing of broad ranging construction equipment has an opening for a Project Engineer. This position calls for a candidate that will develop software for the vehicle display controller used on construction equipment.
- Develop the design of vehicle display controller software used as the main operator interface for the machine. This includes the control of an LCD screen, components and interaction with other controllers on the CAN bus.
- Work closely with internal customers
- Use innovation and creativity during design process to meet the functional requirements of the system
- Implement, test, and validate the vehicle display software
- Evaluate engineering data to ensure successful progress and completion of assignments within a timely manner
- Reviews progress of projects and provides frequent team progress updates to manager
- Communicate and interact with engine, transmission, and other controllers on the CAN bus
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering with emphasis in electrical, computer, and/or mechanical disciplines
- 3 or more years of practical professional experience
- Experience with C
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Assets:
- Model based design experience using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow
- Experience with CAN based systems
- Software engineering experience on microcontroller
- Hands on experience with agricultural or construction related equipment
