Vehicle Mechanic Job

VEHICLE MECHANIC, Nationwide

Whether you’re already a vehicle mechanic – or interested in training as one, there’s an Army job waiting for you right now.

You’ll play a vital role in keeping the vehicles that carry our soldiers in excellent working order. Not only will we teach you to work on everything from motorcycles and generators to trucks and tanks – we’ll also help you gain valuable qualifications.

You’ll need to be aged between 17 and 42 and physically fit. You’ll get a kick out of fixing things and helping people and have an interest in [or experience of] relevant fields such as driving, engineering or computing.

After learning basic soldiering skills, you’ll be trained in advanced vehicle technology and mechanical engineering. This will equip you to carry out repairs to all kinds of vehicles and work in battlefield conditions as well as in our purpose-built garages. There will also be opportunities to gain A levels and BTECs as well as a variety of driving licences.
