Vendor Management Specialist (Market Data) recruitment

Selected candidates would be responsible for:

Proactively managing a specified group of vendors on behalf of Market Data Management ensuring that they obtain the most cost effective market data services to meet business requirements
Manage commercial negotiations with relevant Market Data vendors and liaise with legal to ensure favourable commercial terms which meet business requirements and yet mitigate business risk
Ensure that the team leverages its global purchasing power with the vendors and undertaking proactive management of the global contracts on behalf of all relevant entities
Working to simplify and streamline procedures for order management, cancellation, contract management and invoice payment
Ensuring that all the terms of all global deals are communicated to the relevant entities who are entitled to participate in them, and managing the bank's compliance to any vendor terms and conditions
Chairing regular meetings with the vendors, facilitating the involvement of the BA’s and business with key vendor representatives
Ensuring best practices are put in place for negotiation of all market data purchases

To be shortlisted for the role, you would have:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with a Masters Degree in Economics, Business or Finance
Regional/global market data inventory management and process knowledge of Finance and cost allocation
Investment Banking or Financial Markets industry experience, specifically within a Market Data BA or Vendor Manager role
Proven knowledge of Market Data Vendor Management and contract negotiations
Major market data vendor knowledge, along with a good understanding of market data inventory systems, processes and procedures preferably MDM
Team Player, work under own initiative, good communication skills both written and spoken

Senior candidates with 12+ years of experience would be considered for a Team Lead role.
