Venture Capital Investment Manager Job in Manchester, North West Uk

My client is a highly successful venture capital and growth capital company with a strong presence in Manchester and impressive portfolio of investments across the North of England. This business has aggressive expansion plans and is keen to attract an individual of the highest calibre to step into an Investment Manager position.

Adopting a holistic role across venture capital and expansion capital investment, the Investment Manager will be responsible for the identification and assessment of new investment opportunities.  This will preferably leverage an existing network in the north of England though this is not a pre-requisite.  The Investment Manager will adopt a hands-on role encompassing financial modelling of investment transactions, the co-ordination and review of due-diligence reports and in-depth company analysis on a quantitative and qualitative basis.  The IM is expected to manage the transaction process in an efficient, professional and timely manner, providing advice to the investee business as appropriate, both during and following the deal.

This private equity business prides itself on a reputation for excellence not only in the quality of its investment decisions but the advice and commercial guidance that it offers to the businesses that it invests in.  Investments can be early-stage or to facilitate expansion via acquisition or organic growth in existing and new markets.  In all instances, this PE firm utilises its wealth of contacts to benefit the business and add value beyond the capital injection provided.

Candidates should sit within the deal making community in a corporate finance, transaction services or private equity position.  This position will suit individuals that have progressed rapidly within their field and have the entrepreneurial capability to make solid judgements on businesses, people and markets.  Applicants should be robust, resilient and highly ambitious.  This business is more entrepreneurial than most operations in Manchester and requires an exceptional individual to hit the ground running quickly.  Candidates currently at Manager to Assistant Director within the advisory community are invited to apply alongside existing IMs.
