Reporting the Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Lifesaving Supporters Club, this autonomous role will suit a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Venue Co-ordinator. The venue is iconic, located on the Burke St Headland on the Strand and has recently been refurbished. Whilst there are forward bookings for functions and events there remains a great opportunity to continue building the functions and events business.
Important behaviours for the role will be a strong focus on customers, excellent planning and organising and
communication skills, sound team management experience and strong business acumen. This role is responsible for the overall operation of the Venue, including financial performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Actively developing sales leads for new business
- Maintain an effective booking and payment system for any functions
- Maintain an effective accounts system, to include purchasing data entry, invoicing and reconciliation of accounts
- Forecast and report weekly, monthly for operations - sales, wages, purchases
- Recruitment, management and development of staff
- Maintain strong working relationship with Supporters Club Committee
- Attend and report to monthly Supporters Club Meetings
- Maintain Responsible Management of Licensed Venue
- Work weekend shifts as required
