Vertical Solutions Architect

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Vertical Solutions Architect is responsible for building and delivering a market-leading vertical solution architecture, providing high-level design and for guiding the validation process of solutions. The architect will work with Huawei partners in each vertical to provide a complete and time-to-market solutions meeting the customers’ end-to-end solution business requirements.

The Vertical Solutions Architect will be working with a cross-functional team to ensure that the Huawei delivered solutions are applicable to a wide variety of customer environments.

The Vertical Solutions Architect requires understanding of each vertical market business requirements and processes. The architect is required to demonstrate knowledge of the industry vertical priorities and trends, architecture frameworks, and solution development. The architect should provide thought leadership to Huawei account teams and works closely with partner and system integrators, provide architectural guidance to customers and influence customer technical decision makers.

The ideal candidate will have solid system level knowledge of different solutions in the areas of IP, Routing, Switching, UCC and Data Center. He/She will also have excellent ability to write solution architecture specification documents and experience working with external partners and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Director of Industry Vertical Marketing in developing the architectural go-to-market strategy for a set of key industry verticals
Lead the development of solution architectures for the selected verticals.
Identify industry trends that have a potential impact on the overall architecture and partner integration capabilities.
Develop solution architecture specification document and high level architectural presentation for internal and external use
Help solution managers in prioritizing architectural requirements
Engage with selected strategic customers to better understand the real-world environment in which the solution is used and collect feedback
Develop strong partner relationships to accelerate customer engagements and expand Huawei solutions portfolio
Perform competitive analysis of offerings from various other vendors.
Regularly provide innovative solution ideas for consideration from customer and industry engagements
Demonstrate industry leadership through participation in industry forums
Enablement of field account teams through knowledge transfer
Present Huawei solutions and architectures internally and externally

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  (Refers to the job, not the incumbent)

Education and/or Certifications/Licensures:

Minimum:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent in technical field.

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum:

Preferred:  Experience in sales/system engineering

Skills (Technical and/or General):

Minimum:  Strong Enterprise background, with core experience in networking/routing/switching

 

Preferred:

Strong knowledge and skills supporting multiple, different product lines /solution sets
The ability to integrate multiple product lines within a single vertical or across multiple verticals
CCIE certification
