The nature of the work is on the cusp of technology, taking financial data and designing models and algorithmic trading strategies to often take advantage of microstructure inefficiencies.
The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced trader as they learn the ropes and the ins and outs of the position whilst simultaneously gaining increased responsibility.
The position is highly quantitative and a firm grasp of probability and statistics is necessary to succeed in the interview process and the into the career path.
The ideal candidate will be competitive; motivated; keen to learn; a good team worker and be able to think logically under pressure.
Desired attributes include:
• PhD in a quant science subject: Maths, Stats, Econometrics, Physics etc
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of probability and stats.
C++ preffered
• Ability to think outside the box
