RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting operations for 10 to 15 vessels. You will be handling the financial and management reporting to vessel owners, cash management, audits, variance analysis and the closing of accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and ensure the proper functioning of vessel accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated Financial and Management Reports.
- Prepare forecast, budgets and ad-hoc reports
- Analyse and reconcile variances on report prepared by Ship Management Companies.
- Responsible for statutory and tax compliance and tax exposure
- Oversee and maintain an effective system of internal control and procedures
- Month-end closing and accurate financial data capturing in a group of companies
- Prepare Year-ends audit and assisting in preparing statutory financial reports
- Monthly intercompany billing and reconciliation.
- Monitor funding balance and verifying statement of accounts
- Carry out monthly Portage bill checks
- Handle correspondence with ships/ agents for crew accounts matters
- Manage direct reports and ensuring team structures and job definitions and objectives are met
- Liaise and handle correspondence with ships/ agents for crew accounts matters
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents and secretarial agents on respective matters
- Actively involved in new Shipping system implementation projects
- Assist management with special and/or ad-hoc financial related projects
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance/CPA/ACCA/Diploma
- Min 4 years relevant working experience, preferably with some Vessels Management accountingexperience .
- have the ability to produce accurate materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Good understanding of FRS, Local International GAAP
- have a co-operative attitude at all times and possess a high degree of independence, professionalism, dependability and trustworthiness
- show very good analytical,technicaland interpersonal skills
- have good command of both spoken and written English / Chinese
- have good knowledge of MS Office
- Well verse in SAP is an added advantage
- Knowledge in Softma – Triplepoint.
