Vet Territory Sales Rep- Phoenix, AZ
Purpose of Role:
To help the Veterinary Business Unit achieve its volume and profit goals through effectively
managing and developing agency personnel as well as making direct calls on key veterinary
clinics. Identify optimal opportunities to develop new business and increase Points of
Distribution.
Principal Accountabilities
- Achieve profitable sales growth objectives within assigned territory.
- Achieve points of distribution objectives within assigned territory.
- Manage both agency sales representatives and telemarketers and calls to veterinary clinics
- and hospitals both with agency sales representatives as well as direct
- Improve efficiency and knowledge of agency sales representatives and telemarketers through
- training.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of the product line and apply at clinics and with agency
- personnel
- Prioritize key markets, new accounts and spend time calling on them accordingly.
- Develop an understanding of customer needs by expanding basic product knowledge to
- enhance services and assist clinics in growing their business.
- Identify advantageous opportunities to develop new business.
- Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy within territory.
- Develop world-class sales presentations and deliver them in clinic meetings, training
- sessions, seminars, and dinner meetings.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide feedback on marketing and marketing materials and competitive information
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions and company meetings as required.
- Learn and follow the basic fundamentals of the Veterinary Business Unit "sales call model".
- Complete call reports, expense reports, monthly sales reports, and presentations as required.
- Manage expense budget.
Key Experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong PC skills.
- Ability to travel 40 - 60%
Desired Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Veterinary Science essential.
