Vice-Pres. Sr. Consultant, Implementation Project Manager

Acts as main point of contact for implementing new clients, including the organizational, procedural and technical aspects. Serves as a liaison between the client and internal service teams.  Carries out relatively complex, extensive, high profile activities within the organization e.g. direct interaction with client executives and Portfolio Managers and more senior management within the division. Job Summary

Carries out relatively complex and extensive activities for the Implementation Team within Hedge Fund Services. Operates under general supervision but works independently and with teams to bring projects to completion. Works on large and/or complex projects coordinating the activities of many different groups of contributors. Has both high level knowledge in alternative asset management, plus strong desire to gain expertise in the alternative asset management. Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills. Will lead projects, interface with all functional areas of the business and train new staff. Maintains a strong control environment while meeting client expectations and deadlines. Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in the function, considered an expert on the team

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• The role is client-facing (e.g. working with external investment manager and/or C-suite sponsors as it is internally focused (e.g. working with in-house technology partners, operational areas, management and product development).

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from beginning to end

• Plan, track and execute projects

• Exercise judgment in determining project prioritization

• Build and maintain strong, functional relationships with clients during the implementation process

• Facilitate and ensure structure for regular client meetings during the implementation (e.g. produce agendas and document and distribute takeaways)

• Coordinate and perform system set-up and testing: complete personal setup responsibilities and confirm all groups have completed their setup responsibilities

• Interface with internal and external IT to ensure external IT setup is completed timely and within the constraints of the internal control framework.

• Identify and communicate bespoke client requests (for reporting and other IT builds) according to established guidelines.

• Perform and document completion of related internal controls for SSAE 16 compliance

• Drive the agenda and effectiveness of meetings with internal service teams

• Ensure all necessary implementation tracking documents are initiated and maintained (client matrix, subway map, etc.)

• Follow-up with internal service teams to update the tracking documents for the implementation. This includes ensuring that the subway map is properly updated/maintained by applicable stakeholders and all escalations are identified and communicated to management
