HSBC Securities Services (HSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody, corporate trust and loan agency and sub-custody settlement and services to the international asset management industry. Leading services include complex accounting, valuation and web-based investor services for traditional funds, hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds; trustee and depositary services; performance consultancy services to institutional and corporate clients worldwide as well as cash management, foreign exchange, securities lending, corporate trusteeship, issuing and paying agency services, management and corporate secretarial, compliance and regulatory reporting.

HSS is split into three divisions, namely, Fund Services, Custody and CTLA (Corporate Trust Loan Agency). As part of Fund Services, HSS offers trust services for funds under a subsidiary entity HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited which is appointed to act as the trustee for funds. 

Principal Accountabilities

• Provide excellent Client Service. Cultivate and develop strong relationship with REIT managers. Serve as a senior point of contact to the senior personnel of the REIT Managers for discussion and clarification on all issues in relation to the REIT. Serve as an ambassador for the REITs product and HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited in its role as trustee. Be familiar with all operational and regulatory aspects of the REITs product.
• Manage and develop more junior team members and provide assistance and guidance where required. Attend to and resolve issues faced by junior team members. Set an example in portfolio management and be responsible for data maintenance by junior team members.
• Assist Team Head in product management in managing the risk and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of REIT operations. Contribute and review process for continuous improvement on efficiency and risk management.
• Participate or lead projects from time to time to ensure that the team meets compliance, audit, regulatory and internal requirements. Provide input into risk reviews and coordinate team data where necessary.
• Take charge and manage all aspects of a REIT portfolio which includes reviewing and processing payments, static data maintainance, review of financial statements and reports submitted by REIT Managers, ensure compliance of the REIT with the regulations and constitutional documents.
 

Skills/Attributes

• University Graduate with 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in the securities industry, Funds/REITs

• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Candidate should be able to work independently in a fast pace environment. Candidate should be well-organised, grounded and able to learn quickly on the job.

• S/he should have a strategic mind-set with strong conceptual and analytical ability.
