Position Description

Position Description

The Enterprise/Global Initiatives Group (name TBD) reports to MSIM's executive management and works cross-functionally with business and support groups within MSIM globally and across the Firm.  The team will provide centralized leadership, planning, and reporting on key projects identified across various disciplines including:
- process re-engineering
- industry-driven initiatives
- revenue opportunities
- vendor analysis/management
- investment systems enhancements and implementations

The group is seeking to hire a Vice President to report directly to the Executive Director heading the team. The position will be based in New York City.  In this role, the candidate will:
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings to build consensus and to execute on agreed deliverables
- Design project plans to meet short and long term goals and deadlines
- Develop presentations to report progress and status for senior management
- Work directly with the global team to identify and develop strategies to improve upon existing business practices

Skills Required

Preferred Candidate Qualifications
Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of financial services experience, preferably in Asset Management or Management Consulting. MBA a plus.

• Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
• Excellent presentation skills including verbal and written communication
• Commitment to deliver the highest quality work product with close attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently plan for various short- and long-term deliverables
• Solid project management experience
• Ability to work both independently, across organizational boundaries and as part of a team
