Vice President
A globally recognised Investment Bank have earmarked 3 x hires at Vice President level, to work with the Global Head of AML Assurance. The bank is looking to build out their AML monitoring and review programme, highlighting this as an exciting opportunity to sit at the heart of the 2nd line of defence in a team with global coverage.
The Role:
To sit within the business and conduct risk based monitoring reviews of the AML and Sanctions programmes. You will be leading and executing reviews across all business activities, liaising with Heads of AML,Sanctions, ABC as well as senior management within the business. You will be expected to lead junior members of staff, and report back to the MLRO making recommendations to senior management as to corrective action.
• Facilitate monitoring reviews across the Investment bank to ensure consistency of policy application and test for control adequacy.
• Ensure that AML, Sanctions and ABC policies adhere to external regulation.
• Keep abreast of updates to Group policies and standards, and to ensure that these are correctly and efficient implemented
• Provide guidance along with business unit and report to the Global Head of AML Assurance.
The successful candidate will have experience in Financial Crime, and have assurance/audit/monitoring experience
• They will have a firm understanding of AML regulations; 3rd MLD, UK Bribery Act, JMLSG Guidelines
• Close attention to detail and desire to improve the Group’s AML risk management strategy
