Background to the Appointment

ETF Securities established its US business in June 2009. Since then, the firm has established a suite of 7 physically backed precious metals products with approx $4bn in Assets Under Management between them.

The incumbent will need to develop and manage dedicated geographic territory with channel specialization, actively contribute to the development of existing and new relationships of key accounts by considering sales messages and how to effectively target new leads, and prospecting companies creating and following up on new leads.

 

Key Accountabilities and Scope

Sales / Client Service

  1. Provide quality support to clients and prospects by fielding, responding and accommodating day to day requests regarding the broad range of ETFS products
  2. Scheduling client meetings, meeting preparation and follow-up
  3. Management of dedicated sales pipeline from prospect to client
  4. Travel schedule will involve approximately one week in the office followed by one week of travel

CRM / Client Data

  1. Ensuring all relevant contacts, meetings, notes and actions are timely and accurately entered
  2. Record client interest and set up list/groups in CRM
  3. Review and timely follow-up of new leads from marketing/research mails, conference calls, events, etc.

Product and Industry Knowledge

  1. Develop knowledge/ understanding of ETPs / ETFs in terms of the ETFS product characteristics, how the primary and secondary markets work, competitor products, comparable products, market trends
  2. Build up industry knowledge by regularly reading ETFS research material, broker research and relevant press
