Associate and Vice President – Corporate Strategy – Global Bank

 
Our client is a tier one financial institution who is now looking to recruit two people to their EMEA corporate strategy team. 

The first role is a VP position, suitable for those at the Engagement Manager or similar with major consulting firms.

The second is an Associate role suitable for those with between 3- 7 years experience .

As part of this group, you will contribute to achievement of the EMEA region’s overall targets through delivery of key strategic projects. You will also partner with and support senior executives with ad hoc support to evaluate business opportunities

Important aspects of the role are:
 
Formulate strategy for the EMEA region

Assist senior executives across the bank to evaluate business development opportunities.

Identify key development opportunities for the firm

Maintain ongoing dialogue with senior managers and executives in the business to identify strategic opportunities and shape the business' strategic agenda

For the VP, to supervise junior members of the team
 

Skills required to undertake the role

Trained in strategy consulting with blue chip strategy firm or the strategy team of another blue chip plc

- For the VP role you will need to have at least Engagement manager level with your current firm or equivalent.  Therefore you will probably have 8/ 9 years experience and almost certainly have a blue chip background in strategy consulting at some stage in your career.

- For the associate role, we may consider an investment banker looking to move into corporate strategy. 

They are keen on meeting people from McKinsey, Oliver Wyman, Bain, Marakon, Booz, Roland Berger, AT Kearney, LEK, Boston Consulting Group

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Financial services experience is not essential for a brilliant candidate
