As Vice President Cancer Program, imagine yourself... *Developing and maintaining integrated, cost effective, high quality, and comprehensive cancer services. Fostering an environment of teamwork, collaboration and mutual trust among physicians, administration and other caregivers. Unifying and aligning employed and non-employed physicians whose patients receive cancer services through Aurora. *In conjunction with operational leadership, ensuring consistent clinical and administrative practices are developed, implemented and maintained for cancer services meeting or exceeding all benchmarks through the establishment of best practice outcome measures, quality and volume results, care management initiatives, productivity standards, safety, patient loyalty and retention of cancer patients. *Developing relationships with pharmaceutical companies to perform research and clinical trials throughout Aurora. *Participating in the development and ensuring cancer service's operating plan(s) are integrated with the Aurora Health Care and market strategic and operating plans. Also ensuring that these plans are documented, communicated, reviewed and revised annually in sufficient detail to guide Aurora's cancer services. *Promoting alternative and complementary approaches to cancer care. *Communicating effectively with all leadership and staff to ensure that physicians are aware of strategic market initiatives. *Facilitating the implementation of Quality and Care Management initiatives in conjunction with the clinic Management Committees. Documenting, monitoring and communicating Quality and Care Management initiatives and their impact on communities across Aurora. *Making recommendations to Aurora leadership, regarding new construction and the alteration of equipment and facilities related to cancer services, ensuring that professional objectives are met across Aurora. *In collaboration with operations leadership and medical group leadership, making recommendations to Aurora leadership regarding technology advancement and adoption and placement for cancer services. *In conjunction with Physician Recruitment Services, assisting with recruitment of oncology physicians and ensuring efficacy of the physician and provider recruitment process. *Participating in the development of annual growth and operating plans at the system level. *Being responsible for taking an active leadership role in a non-profit or community based organizations by providing community service hours or serving in professional organizations.
