Vice President, Client Onboarding Controls, Investment Bank recruitment

Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Asia Pacific Head of Quality Assurance for the Wholesale Bank, you will work closely with key stakeholders across areas of Onboarding, Operations, Legal Compliance, Audit and lines of Business in order to identify, evaluate and improve end-to-end Client Onboarding (KYC) controls and processes. Acting in an independent advisory capacity, you will liaise with regulatory bodies and compliance chiefs in order to ensure that current policies and procedures adhere to regional regulatory requirements and industry best practice. You will also monitor the performance of functional managers as to their implementation of key KPIs for the Onboarding processes and provide training opportunities where gaps in knowledge are evident. This role carries people management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will possess at least 8-10 years' experience gained within a global financial institution. This should include spells within both Compliance and KYC / Client Onboarding functions. Extensive experience in evaluating processes and controls is essential as is a working knowledge of regional regulatory requirements. This role requires first-rate stakeholder management and influencing skills as well as the ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a global team. Fluency in spoken and written English essential.
