Vice President, Corporate Insurance - Risk Management

Description In this senior leadership role, will manage and refine DIRECTV's global corporate insurance program and contribute to the enterprise risk management program. Will lead a team responsible for identifying potential exposure to losses and implementing insurance programs and practices to address identified exposures, protect company assets and support DIRECTV operating at the highest and most efficient levels. Specific responsibilities include: Overall department management, including $70M TCOR budget and 15 staff. Coordinating and administering directors and officers, property, casualty and other insurances programs, ensuring the most economical rates and correct contract standards. Developing risk management strategies, policies and procedures, and metrics and goals based on best practices, analysis and proven methodologies that will support management in efficient and effective company operations. Overseeing safety, health and environmental programs that ensure occupational safety compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Overseeing casualty claims administration strategies, policies, practices, and vendor performance. Evaluating new risk management programs, including formation and operation of a Captive. Reviewing and evaluating contracts, leases and other legal documents for risk management compliance and potential issues and making recommendations. Serving as a risk management consultant and advisor to business units.
