Vice President Corporate Tax

Job Role: Vice President, Corporate Tax Location: Foster City, CA Job Responsibilities : Lead Acxiomrsquo;s worldwide tax function. Liaise extensively with other Acxiom groups for financial statements preparation and SEC filings, acquisition, divestiture and restructuring activities on an as needed basis. Responsible for coordination of the worldwide effective tax calculation, FAS 109 calculations, maintenance of FIN 48 support, and coordination of financial statement audits. Responsibility for special projects, including domestic and international restructurings, acquisition and divestitures, and Treasury-related analysis. The Vice President, Corporate Tax will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Required Skills: 8 - 10 years Big 4 and/or combination US-based multinational corporate tax experience. Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, Masters Degree preferred, CPA preferred. In-depth working knowledge of federal tax law including, accounting methods, subchapter C, consolidated returns, international taxation and pass-through entities. Knowledge of state taxes including income, sales use and property taxes. Experience in handling tax examinations of federal, state, local and international authorities. Strong accounting and tax expertise in FAS 109 with knowledge of international aspects of FAS 109. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, people, and organizational skills. Experience working in PeopleSoft environment a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize, manage others, meet external deadlines, and critical thinker. Highly motivated, aggressive, creative, articulate, results oriented. Supervisory and project management experience. Flexible and able to operate in fast paced, changing environment. Ability to grow and change with the organization. Advanced ability to communicate complex tax issues to senior management in a concise manner with the ability to establish credibility and decisiveness. Advanced ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems/issues. Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates. Highly advanced skills in translating business needs and problems into viable and accepted solutions. Highly advanced ability to analyze and improve business processes. Highly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines. Expert knowledge of tax accounting practices and procedures including GAAP and Statutory accounting methodologies, disclosure and reporting. Advanced ability to work well within a team and foster teamwork environment.
