Group Finance is responsible for the production of relevant, timely and accurate statutory, financial and management information; as well as insightful analysis of business, product and customer profitability to support decision making and generation of shareholder value. The team also provides capital management, business planning, forecasting, tax and accounting advisory services to our businesses.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal deal team for asset-backed funding issuance programmes via covered bonds and securitisations, including business units, Finance, Operations and Investor Relations.
- Liaise with external parties involved in deals, including arrangers, rating agencies and legal counsel.
- Establish and own an efficient and effective securitisation reporting and governance function within Group Finance for covered bond and securitisation SPVs. This will cover key controls and all internal and external reporting to stakeholders, e.g., investors, regulators, rating agencies.
- Be the business lead for all legal documentation connected to programme issuance and SPVs.
- Be the business lead for regulatory reporting arising from programme issuance.
- Manage the day to day operational functioning of the SPVs, including transactions between the bank and SPVs, payments, ongoing asset selection, substitution and replacement.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance – Accounting Policy team to ensure correct financial reporting and disclosure in respect of programme issuance and SPVs.
- Work as part of the senior Group Finance Operations team, maintaining a good understanding of the businesses and its issues ensuring that any impact on securitisation reporting is fully understood and mitigated.
- Prepare presentations to internal stakeholders, investors and rating agencies.
- Liaise with regulators regarding programme issuance.
Requirements
- Accounting / Finance Degree.
- Experience in managing securitisation or covered bond operations.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and Basel regulatory capital rules.
- Ability to communicate complex issues relating to the issuance programmes to internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to handle and analyse large quantities of data to identify and understand variances and drivers of trends.
