Vice President, Credit Officer – Large International Bank recruitment
Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining and developing credit review materials, in coordination with Portfolio Managers, for new transactions and existing portfolio, including financial and business analysis, to assist the PMs in monitoring the portfolio, assessing the risks of specific transactions, and in developing new business.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial models and projections and associated write-ups in coordination with the Portfolio Managers to aid in the evaluation of credit quality of potential new deals, testing repayment ability from cash flow under various assumptions and stress cases.
Perform business and financial analysis prospects and customers for credit write-ups.
- Interface with Agent banks and other analysts in the market in coordination with the PMs, to secure credit and market information essential to the evaluation of credits, both for prospects and existing portfolio names. Accompanying PM to bank meetings as required.
- Prepare and maintain proprietary systems bank ratings on transactions and counterparties ratings in coordination with PMs. Maintain updated list of current portfolio ratings.
- Prepare quarterly and annual credit reviews, watch list reports, and other periodic borrower and portfolio reports for Corporate Finance, in coordination with PMs.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. MBA preferred.
- Credit training and experience, and ability to think flexibly about the relationship between numbers projections and business risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a range of levels of management and staff. Ability to interface effectively with Agent Banks, market or credit analysts in the leverage market segment.
- Comfort working with detail, precision with work involving numerical data entry.
