Vice President / Director of Human Resources for a global financial services firm Job in Jersey City 07747, New Jersey US
A vacancy has arisen for an HR Generalist to support the Institutional Equity Sales, Electronic Execution Services, Finance, Legal and Corporate Communications Investor Relations businesses (population ~500 employees). You will work to ensure that the client is provided with professional advice, support and guidance on HR Issues. You will ensure that corporate HR programs are delivered to the client effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business demand into HR Solutions
- Provide pragmatic, creative and positive solutions and ensure all actions conform to legislative requirements and best practice
- Help manager to deliver on strategies
- Challenge the business to ensure an aligned/integrated people strategy that reflects business need
- Provide advice and guidance to business heads and management to effectively manage and resolve staffing issues
- Support the year-end compensation process, ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in the promotion, bonus and salary increase processes
- Directs and drives HR decisions on complex cases with significant financial and/or legal risk
- Support HR Initiatives (training development, performance, succession planning, talent management)
- Ensures organizational participation in annual Goal Planning, Cross Evaluation and Performance Review processes
- Work with the HR team to act upon information on matters such as diversity, turnover, etc.
- Work with legal on all offer letters for new hires
- Coordinate with UK HR on all new hires and offer letter terms for hires
- Conduct exit interviews in order to ensure that we get high-quality information from leavers
- Immigration
- Provide various types of HR assistance, e.g. day to day employee relations/labor relations, recruiting, immigration etc.)
