Vice President, External Communications, TSS recruitment
J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced communications professional to join our Treasury Securities Services (TSS) Asia Pacific Communications team based in Hong Kong / Singapore.

TSS provides a wide range of transaction, investment and information services that supports the needs of small businesses, middle market companies, large corporations, governments, municipalities, financial institutions and institutional investors. Trillions of dollars in cash and securities flow around the world daily, as these clients conduct business. JPMorgan is a key facilitator of that monetary flow through TSS' two divisions - Treasury Services and Worldwide Securities Services.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in media and client communications as well as internal communications at an Asia Pacific or global level.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and implement a pro-active client / external communications program which leverages and integrates a range of communications channels
- Develop new client communications content and messaging and enhance existing collaterals to ensure clients understand the firm's value proposition, strengths and capabilities
- Assist multiple businesses / product lines in the coordination of day-to-day client communications programs, projects and events, working closely with internal business stakeholders, product and client service, among others
- Align the client communications function and strategic direction with the objectives of the broader Marketing and Communications teams in Asia Pacific and globally, to ensure consistent messaging, approach and execution
- Provide guidance to internal business stakeholders on messaging and execution at both a strategic and project-based level
- Enhance the firm's existing issues /crisis management framework to ensure the timely delivery of appropriate communications materials
- Drive and support TSS' market intelligence and research functions to deliver actionable insights to the business
- Support Media Relations to ensure positive profiling of the business
- Assist in internal communications where coverage is required
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Minimum 10 years communications experience, preferably within the financial services sector in APAC, with a strong focus on strategic and day-to-day external communications
- Several years' experience in market research, media relations and/or internal communications for a global financial firm an advantage
- Comfortable distilling complex product and operational language into clear and concise messages to enhance communications between the firm and our clients
- Extensive experience in working directly with senior level executives in product, sales and client service teams to guide, support and enhance their client interaction
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work as part of a team and independently while keeping multiple stakeholders appropriately briefed
- Ability to make appropriate decisions within a short timeframe under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work within a cross functional team environment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management, product, sales and client service teams and Marketing and Communications peers
