Vice President, Global Trade & Receivable Finance Sales recruitment
Principal Accountabilities
Reporting into Global Trade Receivable Finance (GTRF), the incumbent will be responsible to market and sell GTRF solutions to existing and new to bank/trade customers; to significantly contribute towards the targeted revenue/NPBT by ensuring high facility utilisation and share of wallet of existing clients; to originate new trade business and work with customers to design the most efficient trade solutions; to advise RMs on trade facility structures in order to optimize risk verses return. Key accountabilities will include -
- Maximising revenue from existing portfolio of clients
- Ensuring underlying health of business ie increased volumes/ counts/ assets/ facility utilisation
- Building a strong pipeline of deals and new clients from existing client referrals
- Raising visibility and profile of the business – both externally and internally
- Building strong relationships with clients by delivering products and processes in line with expectations
- Setting up an extensive client calling program
- Working with RMs/ Risk/ Product to structure facilities in a most efficient way from a risk/ return perspective
- Embody the HSBC values and spirit in all interactions with clients and internal stakeholders
- Leading by example in demonstrating engagement and teamwork with RMs and other stakeholders including RAU/ Risk/ FOT/ MO etc.
- Ensuring speedy implementation of sanctioned facilities
- Making effective use of various sales management tools
Skills/Attributes
- University Graduate with 5 – 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of Trade Sales experience is must
- Extensive exposure to all aspects of trade, which include risks, structures and products, is highly desirable
- Basic credit skills regarding evaluation of credit proposals, including trade facilities
- Broad corporate banking experience with strong problem solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial Orientation and appreciation of technology
