Vice President, Hedge Fund Counterparty Credit Risk, Bulge Bracket Bank recruitment

The PM is responsible for the Fund Manager Portfolio – Unlevered (mutual funds pensions, etc) and Levered Funds (Hedge Funds) as it relates to the Capital Markets activities of the Enterprise. This entails direct account responsibility, as well as the monitoring of all relative developments in the industry that could impact these counterparties, eg regulatory, legal, capital, and operational developments and be able to formulate appropriate response to such developments by way of amending policies, procedures, etc. This individual will supervise any Associate/Analyst(s) assigned to the portfolio.

A)Client Portfolio Management

• Liaise with trading desks to assist in onboarding new Fund Managers, ensuring appropriate areas within the enterprise are involved

• Prepare/oversee concise, well reasoned credit correspondence

• Conduct due diligence on new Fund Managers

• Provide customer service to Fund Managers to ensure a smooth flow of business

• Actively assist in negotiation of documentation, eg ISDA, MRA, MSLA, etc

B)Expertise on industry related issues

• Actively monitor industry developments as they relate to the various aspects of the portfolio and liaise with appropriate areas within the enterprise to address issues

• Ensure any required legal opinions are in place and up to date

• Maintain related Financing Guidelines for portfolio

• Assist trading desks in developing any processes that are related to Fund Managers

C)Management of workflow

• Effectively manage work flow of portfolio, especially as it relates to the timely annual review requirement

• Where required, be responsible for any ad hoc process

• Mentor any analyst/associate

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1)         Knowledge:

• An undergraduate degree with focal areas of finance, economic or accounting preferred

• MBA of CFA preferred

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in a corporate lending environment

• Formal credit training and prior lending authority

• Credit Analysis experience / understanding of counterparties and products
