As Vice President Medical Operations, imagine yourself... *Being responsible for the coordination of the administrative functions for the provider staff, which includes but is not limited to implementation of employment agreements, regulatory compliance, care management initiatives, physician performance reviews, etc. *Serving as the Operations Officer of the Aurora Medical Group (AMG) physicians in the market. *Interfacing collaboratively with clinic physician leaders and market leadership. *Providing review and guidance toward the presentation and promotion of quality care through audits, assurance of peer review, quality management, etc. *Functioning as the key liaison with physician leaders throughout AMG. *Being responsible for fostering an environment of teamwork, collaboration and mutual trust among physicians and administration. *Ensuring documented physician peer review according to standards. *Monitoring and assisting physicians in productivity and practice efficiency enhancements. *Participating in the development of strategic and operating plans for AMG and the market. *Communicating effectively with Aurora leadership to ensure that physicians are aware of strategic market initiatives. *Facilitating the implementation of Quality/Care Management initiatives in conjunction with the clinic Management Committees. *Documenting, monitoring and communicating Quality/Care Management initiatives and their impact on communities within the market. *Representing the market physicians to external audiences as necessary. *Making recommendations to the President, AMG, regarding new construction and the alteration of equipment and facilities, ensuring that professional objectives are met. *Interfacing as appropriate with independent physicians. *Ensuring efficacy of the local physician recruitment process in conjunction with Aurora Physician Recruitment Services. *Approving the recruitment of additional physicians and providers. *Being responsible for taking an active leadership role in a non-profit or community based organizations by providing community service hours or serving in professional organizations.
