Vice President, New Business Development recruitment
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting efforts including generating and attracting leads, identifying qualified targets, building relationships with registered representatives and investment advisors, and closing the sale
- Creating and implementing recruiting strategies to identify new opportunities and markets
- Building and sustaining relationships with prospects
- Screening and assessing candidates to ensure they meet firm’s standards
- Generating leads using various techniques such as networking, LinkedIn, cold calling
- Supporting the onboarding process as point of contact for new hires
- Deliver support and information to prospects on firm’s processes and resources
- Researching and following relevant industry and market trends influencing the securities industry
Required Skills Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; prior recruiting experience preferred
• 5-8 years of related industry experience; proven sales track record
• FINRA Series 6 or 7 registration required; FINRA Series 24 registration required within 6 months of start date.
• CFP, CLU, and/or ChFC preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools.
• Hands on attitude with a sense of urgency, as well as a friendly, diplomatic, and outgoing demeanor
• Team player in the truest sense and must enjoy building relationships
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sales driven environment
• Superb research and analytical skills for market research projects
• Ability to adjust communication style to target audience; excellent networking skills
- Well-established industry connections.
- Broad knowledge of all functional areas within the securities industry.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome objections.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
