Monona State Bank is a growing community bank with over $325 million in assets and three local locations. We are currently recruiting for an experienced VP Business Banking to join our team.
The Vice President of Business Banking position is responsible for business development and managing a profitable portfolio of business relationships consistent with the bank’s profit objectives, credit culture, policies, and procedures. Primary portfolio management functions shall include achievement of appropriate risk-adjusted profitability targets, monitoring of credit risk with accurate and timely assignment of asset quality ratings, ensuring accurate documentation, limiting technical exceptions, and minimizing potential losses. In addition, they must serve as a trusted financial advisor by pro-actively determining financial needs and providing appropriate solutions for clients and prospects. This includes referrals for products and services in all other applicable areas of the bank. Profitable business relationships shall be developed through community involvement, referrals from client and centers of influence, and new prospect calling.
Candidate should have 5+ years of commercial lending experience with strong business development skills which includes community involvement. Knowledge and understanding of banking laws and regulations, along with knowledge of proper loan documentation and structuring are required. In addition, excellent communication and problem solving skills are preferred.
