JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all Private Label Credit Card and Alternative Financing relationships, and the contractual relationships with each of our merchant acquirers payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and other payment solution providers. In addition, this executive level position is the business owner with regard to Layaway and Gift Cards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Define and lead the strategic vision for all payment tenders accepted at POS to include Private Label Credit and the Alternative Financing Program.
· Serve as the primary advocate for the credit program within the organization and as the primary interface at the highest levels of the Credit Issuer Partners’ organizations.
· Analyze payment activities, costs, operations, and sales impact to determine effectiveness and facilitate changes as needed.
· Accountable as the business owner for the contractual relationships with all payment providers and for the regulatory compliance associated with the acceptance of the various payment tenders.
· Effectively integrates payments into the overall corporate strategic and financial plan.

· Knowledgeable of all aspects of the Consumer Payments Industry: General purpose card acceptance, Private Label Credit, Debit and check acceptance, Layaway and Stored Value Cards.
· Knowledgeable of all phases of Private label Credit Operations to include credit marketing, risk underwriting, and regulatory compliance.
· Understanding and experience in regulated industries such as Banking required.
· Demonstrated excellent relationship management skills with internal clients (i.e. executive management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches to driving client-focused solutions which also benefited the company’s top and bottom lines
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years management experience in General Purpose or Private Label Credit Cards with PL responsibility.
· Demonstrated success with a top tier brand in marketing, strategy, and implementation of credit card programs.
· Senior to Executive level experience with credit card and or payment network contract negotiation.
· Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· CCE (Certified Credit Executive) credentials a plus.
