Vice President Product Controller recruitment
Glenhill Group is currently working on behalf of a top tier investment bank to recruit a Vice President within the treasury and markets product control group. The main areas of Focus will be credit product control which supports all trades done by the credit trading and structured credit desk, as well as equity derivatives product control supporting the equity derivatives trading desk.
We are looking to recruit a VP level to oversee and head both teams; duties and responsibilities will include the following.
• Close interaction and dealing with issues and queries from front office, risk management, operations and finance relating to credit trading and equity derivatives business areas.
• Participation in new business discussions, in particular relating to credit and equity.
• Provide key inputs to various projects involving credit and equity business areas.
• Dealing with audit queries from internal audit, external audit and MAS
• Mentoring and coaching of junior and mid-level team members
The role will be managing a team that will provide some of the following.
• Production of daily PL reports
• Performing periodic dividend update on equities (Singe name stock and indices), correlation update of baskets etc. into the main trading system.
• Performing daily upload of market data into the credit trading/derivatives system (CDS spreads, bond spreads / prices, interest rate curves, tranche prices etc.)
• Performing monthly PL reconciliation and general ledger account ownership certification
• Performing monthly computation of reserves to be charged to the desks.
• Performing monthly independent price validation of equity volatilities via Totem submission.
We are looking for candidates with at least 7 years’ experience in credit trading / credit derivatives and equity derivatives product control. Candidates must demonstrate some of the following attributes.
• Strong knowledge of treasury products accounting
• Excellent understanding of latest credit and equity market trends and developments
• Excellent management skills and the ability to lead a team
• In-depth knowledge of pricing valuation issues, particularly of credit and equity products.
