The successful candidate will have a proven track record in system implementations, preferably obtained while working with or for asset management companies.

IOO Technology Project Manager:

The Technology Project Manager is the primary contact between the Northern Trust technology practice and the IOO implementation team. The execution of the activities below will allow the implementation and business managers a current state view of progress against agreed development schedule, including any issues, risks or decisions that require management attention.

• Global responsibility for IOO Technology implementation best practice.

• Primary communication point for IT to overall project governance.

• Support the Technology Lead and other technology subject matter experts:

o   Raise application team dockets as directed.

o   Daily communication.

o   Weekly status pre-publication review.

o   Lead meetings and prepare minutes, actions and appropriate follow up.

o   Assist the testing workstream lead with schedule based on schedule of technology deliverables.

• Own, prepare and maintain the overall technology project plan and development matrix.

• Prepare the weekly status package:

o    Application development matrix

o    Program status report

o    IOO Technology executive supplement.

• Manages technical deliverables against project plan, tracking overall progress and deliverables as milestones in adherence to project standards and governance (SDLC) lifecycles; manages the review and sign-off for deliverables:

o    BRD versions submitted to technology.

o    Drive estimation process for dockets.

o    Provide IT input to business cases where needed e.g. estimates.

• Identifies and actively manages IT Risks, Issues and Dependencies; escalates as appropriate to program management with requested solutions.

• Manages changes to scope or plan assessing for impact on the project risk, project plan, resourcing and budget for IT technical development changes.

• Day to day communication with application teams:

o    Status – weekly

o    Ensure questions are answered engage Tech Lead, BA and SME as required.

o    Chase open points appropriately.

o    Communicate schedule and updates.

• Feed file and dataset names to technology as required for transmission and production support deliverables.
