Vice President Quality and Performance Improvement/The Medical Center of Aurora-03191-29799 Primary Location: United States-Colorado-Aurora Job: Directors Managers Schedule: Full-time Position Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The VP of Quality and Performance Improvement is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided at The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza, and for ensuring overall facility regulatory compliance and infection control. Leads an environment of quality that is data driven and develops systems to objectively measure outcomes of care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Presents quality data, analysis and interpretation to senior management, medical staff/physician committees and department directors for review. Partners and collaborates with the management team and medical staff, facilitating teamwork and the achievement of shared goals. Responsible for operations of the Quality Management department and other assigned departments. Qualifications: Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPHQ or other Quality Certification preferred. RN License or Licensure/Certification in a healthcare related professional preferred. B. Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field required; master's degree preferred. C. Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years progressive experience in healthcare quality management, including management of individuals and teams, including Joint Commission review and accreditation. D. Special Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in quality infrastructure, implementation of decision tools, clinical protocols and guidelines, care management and outcome measure assessment. Knowledge and understanding of health care regulatory standards and agencies including JCAHO, HCFA, and State Department of Health and Environment.
