Vice President recruitment

Directly support the Chief Administrative Office in developing and running a robust Corporate Center-led global Expense Management program. Part of this is driven by the need to be compliant with our TARP agreement with the US Treasury and part is due to the need to drive savings to the bottom line by creating an effective global demand management program that creates a healthy partnership between the businesses and the Sourcing and Procurement functions. This included the development of global expense policies, creating a sustainable governance model, and creating transparency through reporting and compliance monitoring.

The end goal will be to eliminate wasteful spending, defined as any non-compensation expenses which are either non-compliant to policy or exceptions to established best practices.

- Developing and refining monthly reporting, as well as monitoring compliance with expense policies, for the four key expense categories (Consulting, Meetings Events, Real Estate, and Corporate Aircraft) as dictated by our TARP agreement with the US Treasury
- Leading the change management aspect of rolling out a center-led Expense Management program across each of the AIG business and corporate units, covering policies, approvals, monitoring, reporting, and certification
- Working closely with the business and corporate unit Expense Management Leads, Audit, and Compliance to ensure adherence (and assist in developing remediation efforts as required) with TARP covenants. Also manage the quarterly certification process across each of the businesses on behalf of the Chief Administrative Office.
- Leading AIG Expense Management efforts for material non-compensation expenses with the goal of eliminating wasteful spending by monitoring compliance with policy and best practices by bringing together the businesses with our Sourcing and Procurement subject matter experts.
- Streamlining existing processes to reduce/eliminate non-value added efforts and identify and help implement alignment with 'best practices' - including the development of a policy manual to support the use of the Corporate Aircraft fleet or ways to process Consulting engagements by area focus to ensure that there isn't duplicative spending taking place across the firm.
- Reviewing all Professional Consulting and Meetings Events approval requests prior to review and approval by the CAO to ensure that material and sensitive items are justified and properly vetted at the business unit level
