Vice President Risk Analysis Unit recruitment
Global Banking and Markets offers exposure to some of the world's largest financial institutions, government agencies, hedge funds, reserve managers and corporate clients; and to the full spectrum of capital markets products and services.
Principal Accountabilities
The primary responsibility is to ensure a balance between financial solutions provided for clients and the Bank's credit and risk criteria. You will work closely with Relationship Managers to acquire and grow client relationships. To succeed, you will need to apply specific industry knowledge and partner Relationship and Product Managers to deliver credit and product solutions.
- To support GB to attain their strategic growth targets while at the same time maintaining a high quality loan book for GB
- Safeguard the bank from potential losses arising from credit and operational risks.
- Working independently with product partners and be involved in complex transactions including those originated from advisory, debt and equity related mandates, project finance, acquisition financing, derivatives, structured transactions and asset backed structures etc.
- Optimisation of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) through clear understanding of Basel II regulatory framework and capital requirements.
- To participate in adhoc projects relating to portfolio review, management reports, improving risk mitigants and enhancing operational efficiency
- To be adaptive to ongoing changes within the organization and support the implementation of needed changes in the department.
Skills/Attributes
• Degree or a professional qualification in Accountancy
• At least 5 -10 years of strong risk analysis or corporate lending expertise, preferably from a leading financial institution.
• Proven expertise in corporate credit, including credit reviews and structuring financial solutions for clients. Prior experience in Trade, Real Estate or Financial Institutions will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with Relationship Management experience will be preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills coupled with effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Conscientious and meticulous in completing tasks and activities assigned.
• Positive and willing to learn attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, especially Word and Excel is required.
