Vice President, Risk (Loan Management Unit) recruitment

Principal Accountabilities

Reporting into Senior Vice President, Loan Management Unit (LMU), the incumbent will be responsible for :

Prompt identification of Early Warning Signs (EWS) on Commercial Banking and Global Banking accounts
Liaison with Relationship Managers on formulation of effective account strategies for CRR6.1 accounts
Maintenance of watchlists to track the progress of worry accounts
Formulation of workout or recovery strategies on distressed accounts to minimize impairment provisions to the Bank
Represent the Bank independently in multi-banks workouts
Directing recovery legal actions, including writ-of-summons, judicial management, provisional liquidation, schemes of arrangement both within Singapore and foreign jurisdictions
Management of a portfolio of CRR8.1 or worse accounts, including but not limited to restructuring/recovery activities
Leadership and management of credit-related special projects from time to time such as portfolio stress testing, issuance of credit guidelines and credit alerts, risk management MI for the Risk Management Committee, credit training for Relationship Managers

Skills/Attributes

A university degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in credit and market risk analysis
Strong analytical skills with knowledge of banking products
Working knowledge of insolvency laws and practices will be highly advantageous
Effective teamwork, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Results-driven, detail-conscious and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Proven leadership track record in a banking environment is desirable
