Vice President Sales & AM- Vision Private Label Job in Golden Valley, Minnesota US
This sales leadership position is responsible for new sales, retention and growth of private label vision business and successful on-boarding of new customers. Position involves extensive interaction with clients and brokers to secure new and implement and manage existing Private label vision accounts.
Position Accountabilities:
Active engagement, oversight and strategy development of the distribution strategies for the private label vision market.
Establish field sales objectives and develop competitive strategies for execution within assigned market.
Develop annual sales plans and budgets, monitor productivity and achieve desired results with and through assigned sales resources.
Develop key internal and external relationship in assigned territory to facilitate results. Understand and strategize based on analysis and reporting of sales and market trends, including sales plan execution, competitive activity and new product requirements.
Collaborate with the Vision Product Leaders and functional Vision organization in the development of and enhancement of current products, services and customer offerings to capitalize on opportunities.
Responsible for the effective supervision, direction and evaluation of all sales and sales support staff in assigned region.
Consistently meet or exceed profitable revenue growth goals.
Demonstrate consistent activity disciplines to maximize new business development and assure consistent pipeline growth.
Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills to maximize sales force effectiveness.
Location would ideally be in Columbia, Golden valley, Indianapolis or an established Specialty Benefits sales office.
Qualifications
Ten to fifteen years experience in a large, complex and successful ancillary insurance organization with responsibilities for sales and distribution of vision and other ancillary products.
Five years in a sales management position with increasing responsibility.
Undergraduate degree is required; post-graduate degree in business administration, Marketing or related field strongly preferred.
Strong strategic focus, analytical, internal control and project -management skills.
Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on sound marketing, operational and financial principles.
Familiarity with aspects of healthcare sales and marketing along with a solid understanding of the impact of sales activities on operational functions and profitability.
The ability to analyze complex sales programs and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems.
Advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions for complex organizations.
Sound administrative capabilities and a demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and motivate key personnel.
Proven experience managing and influencing effectively in a large, matrixed environment
Well-developed planning capabilities and a track record in controlling costs, setting budgets and meeting deadlines.
Excellent presentation skills with the expertise and sophistication needed to credibly represent the Company in the context of the companys values and quality commitments.
Strong people skills with direct experience in successfully managing programs within complex organizations.
With a nationally distributed market and sales force, frequent business travel will be required.
