Vice President, Sales-Midwest Job in Chicago, Illinois US

Position Responsibilities:
For one of the nation's leading asset based Transportation Companies with local, regional and transcontinental coverage, specialized refrigerated equipment, dedicated fleets, and intermodal services. Over $ 400 million revenue, 1,800 associates, 1,200 company owned tractors, 5,000 van trailers, and 3 terminal and 3 maintenance facilities located in major markets throughout the United States, Western Canada and along the Mexican border. Division of a privately-owned holding company with family of diverse companies with nearly $ 2 billion in revenues focused in transportation, real estate and energy. Responsible for complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business. Ability to analyze, create presentations with experience working with customer service and managing the startup process after the sale. Expectation is to increase revenue and profitability by securing a diverse portfolio of stable customer accounts.

Background Required:
Transportation Sales (5 years)
Multiple or Portfolio Business Development (i.e. Dry Van including Regional and Team, Temperature Control, Dedicated, and Intermodal)
Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle and Line mgmt.)
National Accounts Experience and Management
Sector/Verticals (Consumer Goods, Retail, Chemical, Industrial, Automotive)
Pricing Exposure
Strong Truckload Industry Knowledge including FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
Time Territory Management Reporting Processes
Computer literate (Office 2000 suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
Residence: Major Metropolitan area in Mid-West or East (Home office environment)
