Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for developing regional and local payments and cash management business with companies across a range of industries.
- Concentrate on Singapore and Kuala Lumpur-based regional decision-makers as appropriate at companies in your portfolio to drive new sales and revenue retention from existing mandates.
- Develop and execute client account plans by managing your client interactions to understand needs, apply consultative selling practices, cultivate references, develop appropriate product solutions, and negotiate/close sales in collaboration with client service, product, operations, technology, risk, credit, legal and other areas to optimize product and service delivery.
- Develop and deliver both advisory and product-specific presentations to targeted clients in support of potential opportunities.
- Proactively engage RM’s and product partners to strategize on customer deals, revenue generation ideas on a regular basis.
- Communicate market developments on an ongoing basis to both the RM and PCM Product teams.
- Drive appropriately tailored responses to tender requests and RFPs, producing comprehensive and competitive proposals within mandated timeframes.
- Promote HSBC's PCM capabilities internally and externally to improve awareness of PCM and to generate profitable new opportunities for the Group.
- Ensure that sales administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner and take ownership for facilitating the smooth handoff to the assigned implementation team to ensure that no unforeseen issues arise, or to resolve if necessary.
- Maintain an in-depth awareness of current trends and developments in the broader cash and related working capital management marketplace through regular dialogue with corporate treasurers and industry specialists, and in participation in external industry forums.
- Provide active support to Area PCM executives to assist them in achieving their domestic sales/revenue targets to ensure the success of the overall PCM business.
Skills/Attributes
- A degree holder with at least 7 - 10 years of specialist complex / key account sales and industry experience
- Strong ability to identify and seek out new sales pipeline opportunities within a pre-defined range of industry segments.
- Excellent presentation skills; able to work independently under pressure of competing deadlines.
- Comfortable presenting to Regional Treasurer, Finance Director, CFO, CEO levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in cash and liquidity management product sales or a related working capital product discipline
- A track record of cultivating strong team morale and building strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
