Position summary
The Salesforce.com CRM Configuration Manager will manage and directly implement Salesforce.com and related CRM applications configuration for all business areas globally, including sales, client support, contract management, product, legal and finance teams.
Duties accountabilities
As the CRM Configuration Manager of Salesforce.com the successful candidate must have an extensive knowledge of all areas of Salesforce.com, specifically but not limited to Leads, Campaigns, Opportunities, Accounts, Price Book, Contracts and Cases. Primarily the role will be advanced and technical system configuration and as such will be responsible for delivering to monthly configuration release cycles and system configuration related projects.
Excellent time management and organization skills are critical to this role given the volumes and dynamic nature of the tasks involved. The candidate must have a proven ability to analyze complex problems quickly and propose viable, fact based solutions in a concise manner. The role requires the development of detailed work plans for engagements and the production of exceptional deliverables. It is desirable that the candidate proactively contributes to the development and growth of the system, including monitoring and anticipating any key risks and management issues related to ad-hoc, and managed, change releases.
Working as part of a small team the successful candidate will have demonstrated advanced skills in CRM business analysis and configuration management preferably in financial services.
Key duties include:
- Delivering all configuration changes through monthly release cycles and emergency release cycles.
Changes include business analysis, configuration into development sandboxes, ensuring UAT testing, promoting release to production, and post-release support, including for existing bespoke technology.
- Responsible for completing all minor and major configuration requests including scheduling items and obtaining sign-offs.
Minor requests may be as basic as updating a pick list value and associated data batch loading. Major requests may include Salesforce system integration projects, Sales-2-Salesforce implementations, configuring and implementing specialized CRM technologies, configuring and re-configuring objects and related objects, data dictionary management, advanced technical rules and workflow configuration.
- Proactively recommend improvements and best practice for technical configuration and development, including serving as subject matter expert on the Salesforce User Group, providing support and recommendations.
- Provide training and support to the Salesforce Helpdesk, Sales Operations, Users, and Management.
Business competencies
Education and experience
- Advanced and large scale Salesforce.com technical configuration and data management experience is a pre-requisite
- Experience in Salesforce.com App Exchange tools and other CRM technologies such as mass marketing tools, forms and reporting technologies would be a strong advantage
- Strong experience in business analysis and system development best practices
- Project management experience would be an advantage
- University graduate preferred
