Vice President Security Management recruitment

We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to manage SMBC Sydney branch’s security management function as Vice President Security Management.

Reporting to the Joint General Manager of Risk Management and Compliance, you will deliver a highly effective and efficient Security Management (SM) framework which includes enforcement of the SM framework, policies and procedures within the Sydney Branch. In addition, this role will act as the back-up (i.e. relief position) for the Head of Operational Risk Management. The role will also assist the Joint General Manager of Risk Management and Compliance as required with other operational matters. 

The day to day responsibilities of this role include fulfillment of SM framework deliverables (e.g. user system access management and reporting) as well as contribution to the ongoing improvement of the security management function ensuring that the Branch is kept abreast of market developments in respect of security management best practice. This position will chair the Security Management Committee and conduct regular training sessions to educate new employees and ensure existing employees are updated on security management issues and matters.

As Vice President Security Management, you will work autonomously and independently, however at the same time you will interact very closely on a daily basis with the IT and Operational Risk Management departments in ensuring SMBC’s security management policies and processes are adhere to and executed in accordance with head office and local rules.
