Vice President-Senior Analyst, CFG recruitment
The Role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst to manage an existing portfolio of structured finance transactions (Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates, or EETCs) for the airline sector, acting as the liaison between the EMEA Corporate Finance Group and the Structured Finance Group on a variety of structured-finance related matters and over time developing expertise to manage high profile corporate investment grade and speculative grade issuers based in Europe, Middle East and Africa across a wider sector base.
This is a challenging role where you will be responsible to provide insightful credit analysis, to ensure rating accuracy and respond to investors inquiries. This opportunity involves developing an in-depth knowledge of the assigned transaction structures and industrial sectors, coordinating across lines of business and writing thought-leading research. As part of the rating process you will manage effective interaction with investors and issuers alike.
You will also be expected to participate in conferences and play a pivotal role in raising the profile of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the assigned transaction portfolio and related corporate sector and take thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics and high quality research impact
- Broaden knowledge base to reach out to different corporate sectors, with rating responsibility over investment and non-investment grade names
- Perform and present in-depth fundamental credit analysis effectively and comprehensively on a regular basis at rating committees
- Build and maintain high quality relationships with senior management at some of the world’s largest institutions
- Write in-depth, high quality, insightful and focused research on credit trends
- Develop Moody’s franchise through intermediary marketing and visibility initiatives (e.g. conference participation)
- Coach and develop support associates
Requirements
- Substantial credit/risk assessment experience including demonstrable structured finance background, financial analysis, cash flow analysis and cash flow based lending techniques gained from a financial institution or audit firm
- Understanding of complex transaction structures, with a good grasp of documentation, accounting and financial modelling.
- Understanding of loan/bond and other associated documentation, and experience of reviewing such
- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills
- Extensive understanding of corporate and debt markets and the key issues affecting these markets, main players and key industry drivers
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with some public speaking experience
- Strong academic background at least equivalent to MSc/MBA in relevant areas
- CIMA/ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English is essential, and other languages are positively considered
- Willingness to travel across the EMEA region
