Vice President-Senior Analyst – SFG, Frankfurt recruitment
The Role
This role is ideal for candidates who are seeking hands-on deal related experience and the responsibility to form a view on all credit aspects of a structure. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of the rating review process, including collateral analysis, cash flow modelling and legal review and for monitoring trends at the sector level.
This is a challenging role where you will be responsible to provide insightful credit analysis, to ensure rating accuracy and respond to investors inquiries. This opportunity involves developing an in-depth knowledge of the assigned transaction structures and writing thought-leading research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing all credit aspects of structured finance transactions, in the EMEA markets ranging from SME, consumer and auto ABS, to esoteric and complex ABS transactions and possibly RMBS.
- Close cooperation with external market participants such as servicers and trustees.
- Build and maintain high profile relationship with investors.
- Write in-depth, high quality, insightful and focused research on credit trends
- Develop Moody’s franchise through intermediary marketing and visibility initiatives (e.g. conference participation)
- Coach and develop junior analysts.
Requirements
- Substantial credit/risk assessment experience including demonstrable structured finance background, financial analysis, cash flow analysis and cash flow based lending techniques gained from a financial institution or audit firm
- Understanding of complex transaction structures, with a good grasp of documentation, accounting and financial modelling.
- Sound judgement – capable of developing independent opinion and defending own views. Strong sense of urgency, and a pro-active ”can do” approach.
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with some public speaking experience
- Strong academic background at least equivalent to MSc/MBA in relevant areas
- CIMA/ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English is essential, and other languages are positively considered.
