Responsibilities
Assist Corporate Audit Leadership in managing the Asia Pacific Global Markets (GM) function, and is responsible for line of business audit coverage in Equities and Fixed Income across the Asia Pacific region and/or in specific countries within the region, as well as key laws and regulations audit coverage in Greater China. Key tasks include:
- Managing individual risk-based audits and reviews, including planning, execution and reporting.
- Proactively implementing audit strategy for the sound application of risk based practices by defining audit scope, audit program, and review and test procedures in area of responsibility.
- Evaluating impact of key control deficiencies identified during audits and reviews to drive actionable business impact and influence management on sufficiency of corrective actions.
- Assisting in the development and management of the annual audit plan including coordination with other regional and global teams/ team leaders.
- Contributing to and participating in various key control related functions and forums including regular control and new product committees.
- Development and mangement of key client relationships.
- Staff development and training.
Requirements
- Minimum of 9 years banking/ finance industry experience with majority of these gained while working in an audit environment, either within an internal audit function in banking/ finance or in a public accounting firm 'Big 4', or in a compatible risk control function.
- - CPA/ CA qualified (or equivalent) and has an excellent understanding of audit fundamentals, including risk assessment.
- - Strong business acumen and in-depth knowledge of banking business process flow and internal controls.
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- - Fluency in written and spoken English.
