Vice President, SOX Compliance recruitment

The Vice President - SOX Compliance manages Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance activities covering assigned areas of responsibility including the following duties:

*Participate in establishment of the annual AMG SOX plan including program timeline and resource analysis
*Proper scoping of processes and controls
*Ensure adequate control and process documentation is maintained (i.e. control matrices, flow charts, narratives) in accordance with AIG Corporate SOX requirements
*Maintain ongoing awareness of significant changes to control processes or other factors that may affect SOX scoping and make adjustments as necessary
*Coordinate timely completion of walkthroughs and control design assessments
*Ensure adequacy of test plans and compliance with AIG Corporate SOX sample size guidelines
*Review test work and sustain control testing documentation at an 'audit quality' level
*Provide guidance and support to process owners in the evaluation and remediation of control deficiencies
*Monitor status of SOX work and ensure adherence to the SOX timeline.
*Maintain close and effective working relationship with AIG Internal Audit and external auditors
*Perform special projects

*Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related area
*Minimum of 7 - 10 years auditing and SOX compliance related experience
*Good project management skills
*Must be highly organized, analytical and attentive to detail
*Financial services industry experience with knowledge of derivatives instruments
*Good written and verbal Communication skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
