Vice President, Special Servicing (Real Estate/CMBS)
Our client is a Real Estate Private Equity business.
As part of their expansion plans they now seek a VP level individual to manage and oversee a portfolio of non-performing assets primarily secured by commercial real estate. You will perform on-going CMBS special servicing focusing on managing the bond holders and subordinated lenders as well as the borrowers
Responsibilities include:
- Liaison with and management of third parties including valuers and other consultants and LPA receivers and administrators as applicable in UK, Germany and other European jurisdictions
- Conduct site visits, assessing the condition of the property, evaluating the onsite staff and marketing program, and tenant files
- Formulate opinions of value supported by market research and third-party reports
- Develop business plans addressing any performance issues and recommending course(s) of action to resolve the same
- Active work out of loans and loan positions
- To take operational accountability and risk management for assigned responsibilities
- To provide problem resolution to customers
- Interact with all levels of personnel throughout the Company
- Execute strategies outlined in the business plan to maximize recoverable value of the asset
- Monitor and execute the reporting process, ensuring timely delivery of all reporting to clients
- Participate in asset management team initiative to improve risk management procedures
- Ongoing team management
