Vice President – Strategy – Investment Banking recruitment

Our client is a tier one financial institution, who are now looking to add a VP Strategy to their London team. This great role will work on closely with senior management on the formulation and implementation of strategic plans for the EMEA business.

Day to day responsibilities:

- delivery of key strategic projects, managing strategy and business resources dedicated to the project

- provide ad hoc support to senior executives across all areas of the bank to evaluate business development opportunities (e.g., new product development, MA, new market entries, customer segment strategies etc.)

- deepen the fim's understanding of the competitive environment, customer needs and behaviour and market trends and proactively propose actions 

Skills required to undertake the role

 - Trained in strategy consulting with blue chip strategy firm or the strategy team of another blue chip 

- you are likely to have at least 7/ 8 years experience, since graduating, in a relevant professional services firm 

- Financial services experience is useful although not essential providing candidates are well trained in strategic planning and the development of strategic frameworks

- First class analytical skills. The role holder will need to be able to dive into data to deliver robust detailed analysis and also to take a step back to look at the "big picture" view.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

- Strong project management and people management skills
