Responsibilities

• Leverage deep technical and business knowledge to create technology solutions and testing strategies that address complex technical and business challenges.
• Accountable for day-to-day technical project management of the testing deliverables, working in conjunction with change management to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Apply deep technical insights and experience to inform, guide, challenge and support strategic technology investments and decisions.
• Deliver testing capabilities at an enterprise level, working with globally distributed teams and platforms.
• Ensure that the testing teams are leveraging best practice across all products and platforms.
• Provide, track and report team financial forecasts, creating and maintaining detailed work plans. Produce regular, thorough and accurate project status reports tailored for the target audience - from technical project team member to Senior Management.
• Participate in meetings with Management and provide appropriate input and feedback. Ensure project changes are managed and executed properly.
• Ensure that project issues and risks are accurately logged, tracked, resolved and escalated appropriately. Close liaison with change management, the business community, technical and testing groups within Bank of America globally, vendors and external financial institutions.
• Creation and management of staffing plans, driving recruitment to meet delivery of project portfolio.

Requirements

• Significant technology experience, working in a complex multi-platform environment.
• Deep experience of all phases and areas of testing.
• Significant experience of testing tools - QTP, LoadRunner, QC - together with a background of implementing automated, reusable test scripts.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering multi-generational technical and transformational projects.
• Proven leadership experience, ability to motivate teams and drive test strategies and execution, performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver.
• Outstanding organisational skills, including ability to re-engineer department processes.
• Strong management skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality software development projects on time and within budget.
• Experience of working with vendor platforms and management of defect resolution.
• A proven track record of working with and presenting to Management.
• A disciplined thinker and capable of working across organizational boundaries in a very demanding, high-output environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Must be pro-active, enthusiastic, adaptable and results driven.
• Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
• Excellent spoken and written English, clear oral communication skills. Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings via teleconference. • Experience of Line management responsibilities, including performance management, associate development and feedback, talent planning and resource management.
• Experience in Treasury Management or Payments Service platforms, preferably utilising Mainframe technologies would be highly advantageous.

Desirable

• ISTQB Testing certification to Advanced level or above, or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a large financial organisation.
• Experience of delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of Six Sigma and Enterprise Change Management Methodologies.
