Vignette CMS Developer needed!
Description:
Our direct client needs to hire a Vignette Developer for a long-term contract assignment in the Metro DC area immediately. This role is to work on a high-traffic site with dynamic content, and it could be a great long-term project or an equally great resume/skills builder for future projects.
Selling points:
- The mobile websites all still need to be made so there is a great opportunity for someone to come in and lead that effort. (Prior mobile experience is a plus but not a requirement)

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Vignette based content management and portal solutions.
- Design, develop, modify, support and implement middleware software components on application servers to be used on web or n-tier applications.
- Develop and assess technical architecture, design, and framework.
- Design and implement Vignette based content management and portal solutions for high-traffic site with dynamic content
- Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, technical specifications, documentations, development technologies, release/version control, testing, and deployment.
- Perform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems.
- Develop and implement training and documentation for applications.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
- Review the work of Software Engineers and consultants on project teams. Work independently and as a member of a team.
- Perform other duties as needed and as directed by supervisor.
- Conduct SEO optimization, enhance end user experience and website functionality.
- Utilize technologies including Vignette CMS, Vignette Portal, Weblogic, Java, J2EE (JSP Servlets), Oracle, XML, XSLT, Shell Scripting, Unix and JBoss.
