Virtual Personal Banking Specialist
You have a passion for finance and helping clients realize their dreams. You are a natural salesperson with the ability to identify customer needs and matching them with the right financial products and services. You crave a challenge and work hard to meet or exceed personal sales targets and goals. With an eye for detail you are able to maintain high quality credit decisions in a fast paced environment. As a Virtual Personal Banking Specialist you will be the voice of ATB in regards to retail banking products and services. You will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing clients across Alberta by providing sound financial advice over the phone.
You will find success based on your ability to:
- Conduct loan interviews over the telephone ensuring thorough completion of consumer/mortgage loan applications
- Ensure credit decisions and recommendations are in accordance with sound credit granting principles and ATB policies and procedures
- Develop and build customer relationships with new ATB customers and identify referral opportunities
- Action sales referrals by actively listening to client financial needs, cross-selling ATB products and services
- Develop and build internal partner relationships with other ATB departments
- Identify opportunities for growth in other lines of business such as referrals to wealth management and business banking
- Attend and actively participate in regular team huddles and meetings
- Provide assistance and peer coaching to other team members, as required
Job Requirements:
As the ideal candidate you possess:
- 2-3 years financial services experience with proven sales skills and a knowledge of personal lending products and services
- Thorough knowledge and experience with personal financial products, including deposit, investment and lending products
- Recognized business degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- A strong understanding of credit policies and practices
- Completion of retail credit training, sales training or an equivalent financial services training program is preferred
- Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
- A creative team player who is flexible and cooperative
- A demonstrated ability to deal with change, make decisions and implement creative solutions
- Availability for shift work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
