Virtualisation Administrator – Leading Bank recruitment
Candidates will need a good grounding in VM Ware ESX and are passionate about technology, keeping abreast with the latest advances in order to make recommendations to management. You may act as a project leader for some projects as well as being required to work independently on tasks with minimal guidance. On a daily basis you will be working closely with project teams, line of business as well as the BAU teams globally.
Responsibilities:
- Support the VMware ESX environment including activities such as design, maintenance troubleshooting.
- BAU support for virtualised environment
- Broad experience of server, network and enterprise storage technologies.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Work with diverse global teams to solve issues and plan deployments of new technologies
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years infrastructure experience, ideally with exposure to Windows, Unix and Storage environments combined with an understanding of related technologies (Networking, Active Directory, Hardware, Security)
- Minimum 2 years of VM ware technologies (ESX, VI3, vSphere, VDI), ideally gained on a diverse range of platforms
- Experience in the design and support of virtualisation in complex and evolving large scale environments
